By using my services, you agree to the following Terms of Service, which aim to establish a clear, respectful, and safe framework for both parties.
1. Appointment Cancellation and Modification
Time management is essential to the proper functioning of my practice.
- 48-Hour Notice: Any modification or cancellation must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
- Late Cancellation: For any change made within this 48-hour window, administrative fees representing 50% of the session rate will be required.
- No-Show or Same-Day Cancellation: Unreported absences or cancellations made on the day of the meeting will be billed at 100%.
2. Financial Responsibility and Receipts
- Payment: Payment is due on the day of the session, preferably via Interac e-Transfer.
- Insurance Receipts: Receipts are issued under the category Naturopathy. It is your responsibility to verify with your insurer if these services are covered by your contract and to submit your reimbursement claims.
- Notice regarding Industrial Alliance: Please note that Industrial Alliance regularly refuses reimbursement for services offered by members of CITRAC. I invite you to validate this point with them directly.
3. Nature of the Approach and Professional Boundaries
- Approach: As a TRA, Therapist for Relationship Assitance®, I use the Creative Non-Directive Approach (ANDC®) to support you in your personal and relational development.
- Differentiation (Bill 21, Chapter 28): I am neither a psychologist, nor a psychotherapist, nor a doctor. Relationship aid does not constitute the practice of psychotherapy or medicine. I do not provide any diagnosis and offer no treatment for mental health disorders.
- Obligation to Refer: Should it appear that your needs exceed my field of competence, it is my ethical duty to refer you to the appropriate authorities (doctor, psychologist, etc.).
4. Punctuality and Session Conduct
- Respect for the Schedule: Out of respect for my entire clientele, sessions end at the scheduled time, even in the event of a delay on your part.
- Significant Delay: In the event of an excessive delay, I reserve the right not to hold the session (particularly for couples). The 50% fee will then be applicable.
- Couples Therapy: The simultaneous presence of both partners is required to begin the session.
5. Commitment and Consent
- Voluntary Process: You undertake this process voluntarily and are responsible for the actions taken to achieve your goals. You are free to end the sessions at any time.
- Transparency: You agree to inform me of any significant change in your physical or psychological state of health during our follow-up.
6. Confidentiality and Privacy Protection
- Written Consent: No information will be transmitted to a third party without your written and signed consent.
- Legal Exceptions: Confidentiality may be lifted without your consent in cases provided for by law: immediate threat to your safety or that of others (serious risk of suicide or homicide), youth protection, or by court order.
- Law 25: I, Alexandre Boutin, TRA®, am the person responsible for the protection of your personal information. For any request related to your data, please use the contact form on this site.
